16 December 2025
The Faldo Junior Tour returned to Australia in December, with 84 players from across the country competing in a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event across Concord Golf Club and Cromer Golf Club.
The tournament opened on 15 December at Concord Golf Club, where players faced 36 holes in testing conditions. A brisk morning wind complicated scoring early, though the course presented in excellent condition throughout. The final round took place at Cromer Golf Club on 16 December, where clear weather and calm skies provided a contrasting test, setting the stage for tight finishes across all divisions.
Overall and Boys 21 & Under
Coby Carruthers of Concord Golf Club claimed the overall title and Boys Under 21 title after a playoff with clubmate Bo Chung. Both players finished at eight under par through 54 holes—Carruthers posting rounds of 68-67-69, Chung 70-64-70. Carruthers prevailed on the second playoff hole after holing a 10-foot putt for birdie.
Ian Kim of St Michael’s Golf Club and Levi Park of Kooindah Waters Golf Club shared third at level par.
Boys 16 & Under
The Boys Under 16 division required four playoff holes to separate James Nicholas of St Michael’s Golf Club and Matthew Xu of The Australian Golf Club. Both finished at eight over par. Nicholas eventually secured the win, with Blake Cranston of The Australian Golf Club finishing third at ten over.
Girls 21 & Under
Kiara Connolly-Jackson of Avondale Golf Club took the Girls Under 21 title at one over par, closing with a 70 at Cromer. Mirabelle Naaman of Concord Golf Club finished four shots back in second. Ava Prince of Toukley and Zoe Arcus of The Australian Golf Club tied for third at seven over.
Girls 16 & Under
Alicia Luo of Concord Golf Club finished at four over par to win the Girls Under 16 division, posting a final-round 73. Tsawm Laphai of Concord and Mingming Lee of Monash Country Club shared second place, both finishing at ten over.
Asia Grand Final Pathway
The four category winners earn invitations to the 17th Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at Laguna Lang Co, Vietnam, from 22–24 April 2026. The Sir Nick Faldo-designed championship layout at the resort venue will host juniors from across the region, offering winners a direct route into international competition.
The event marked the only Faldo Junior Tour stop in Australia this season. With WAGR ranking for both boys and girls, two contrasting championship venues, and strong fields across all divisions, the tournament reinforced the depth of junior golf in the country while highlighting opportunities for clubs and facilities nationwide to host future editions along the Faldo Series pathway.
