Play in events that test you against the very best amateurs in the world. An opportunity to gain exemptions to DP World Tour, Challenge Tour and LETAS Events. In 2023 The Elite Tour is made up of 6 individual events in the UK and Europe.

Faldo Elite Rankings accumulates your best 3 positions in the season at any events where the winner will have Challenge Tour and LETAS exemptions for events in 2025.

Rules of Entry

  • Age as of 1st January of Year of Schedule
  • Handicap limit of 5.0 (Cat 1)
    • Based on highest WAGR position
    • Lowest handicaps first
    • All to be cat 1 golfers 5.0 and under
    • Handicap determined on the date of tournament

Practice Rounds

1 Day prior to the event - 1 round

Additional rounds outside of the designated practice day will be at the discretion of the host venue Rules

Winners

Challenge Tour and LETAS starts are available to the winners of the overall Elite Tour Rankings at the end of the season.

Specific details of which exemptions may be earnt will be released throughout the 2024 season

What are the rankings?

The Faldo Elite Tour rankings are the accumulation of ranking points based on top 20 finishes in any Elite Tour Event. The rankings will take account of the best 3 finishes for the end of season rankings.

What are The Faldo Rankings Rules?

  • Ranking Points are only available in Faldo Elite Tour Events
  • Points Available to the top 20 players per event
  • If placed outside of top 20 - no ranking points are awarded
  • Points are accumulated from a players best 3 events and are a combined total to give a ranking position.
  • Tied positions receive the combined points value of the tied players placings and divided by the number of players
  • The points tariff is static and does not get adjusted for: Field Size, Field Strength or Holes Played
  • Ranked in number of points highest to lowest
  • Website to show top 20 only
  • Points allocated as per table below

The distribution of points is approximately:

  • 1st to 5th place
    -> 60% points awarded
  • 6th to 10th place
    -> 20% points awarded
  • 11th to 20th place

What Tour Starts are Available?

Challenge Tour and LETAS starts are available to winners of the overall rankings for the 2025 season. Full details will be released throughout the 2024 season.

What are The Faldo Ranking End of Season Winners?

Following the conclusion of all 6 events, the winners will be announced on the 23rd of October 2024 following the results from the final event. Winners will gain Challenge Tour and LETAS exemptions for the 2025 season, based on a players best 3 positions in the 6 Faldo Elite Tour events.

When is the winner announced?

The Faldo Elite Tour Rankings winner – Following the final event at Welwyn Garden City on the 22nd of October 2023, the winners of the Rankings will be announced.
